Erdélyi, Ferenc Budapest, 1904 - 1959
In 1919 he was admitted to the Academy of Applied Arts in Budapest, but two years later he asked to be transferred to the Academy of Fine Arts where he studied painting from Gyula Rudnay and Ágost Benkhard. From 1923 on he travelled around almost all of Europe, living in Paris, Madrid, Barcelona, Alexandria and Cairo. In 1926 he went to the USA, exhibited in New York and Philadelphia. After a stay in Belgium, he returned to Budapest, but not much later he travelled to Switzerland, Finland and Holland. After three years in Hungary he settled down in the USA where he painted and taught art until his death.
