Maticska, Jenő Nagybánya, 1885 - 1906, Nagybánya
As a student of Hollósy's, this artist born in Nagybánya already showed his works at an exhibition in 1900, to become a pupil at the independent art school of Nagybánya just as it was established in 1902. He made a study tour of Italy in the winter of 1904-1905. The talent, which flowered and was discovered so early in him intimated the expectations of exceptional pieces of art to come.
