Study

Női tekintet

Az utóbbi évtizedek művészettörténeti kutatása hívta fel rá a figyelmet, hogy mennyire más nézőpontból festették a női művészek ugyanazokat az aktmodelleket, mint a férfi növendékek. Sokáig a női tanítványokat nem is engedték a meztelen stúdiumok közelébe. Míg a fiatal festőtanoncok számára a levetkőztetett nőalakok – a klasszikus aktok szépségeszményének álcája alatt – a vágy tárgyát is jelenthették, addig a női kollégák saját biológiai testiségük, kiszolgáltatottságuk vagy éppen hatalmuk kifejeződését látták bennük. Mikor a fiatal Móricz Margit leült a most vizsgált képén látható női akttal szemben, egyszerre talált benne művészi kihívást és valamiféle tükörképet. A foltszerűen, elnagyoltan felrakott, pőre fehérségében világító nőalak jól eltalált körvonalai mögött egy személyiség jelenik meg. A vöröses szőke, aranyló hajkorona alatt a törékeny szépség álmodozóan mered maga elé: nemcsak egy meztelen aktmodell, hanem egy átérzett női sors.

Vaszary tanítványa

Míg a nagybányaiak és a 20. század eleji avantgárd képviselői kénytelenek voltak Párizsba zarándokolni a friss esztétikai impulzusokért, addig a két világháború közötti növendékek már az itthoni mesterek szárnyai alatt is átérezhették a modern szellemiséget. A Lyka Károly-féle reform és a szabad tanárválasztás lehetőséget teremtett erre a Képzőművészeti Főiskola keretei között is. Bár az intézmény fenntartói ragaszkodtak a hagyományos képzési elvekhez, egy-egy modern látásmódú tanár fel tudta nyitni a fiatalok szemét. Mindenekelőtt Vaszary János hatott megtermékenyítően a fiatalokra az 1920-as években. „Mint a nyitott ablakon beáradó üde, friss levegő, modern művészi szelleme tanítványainak palettájára egyszerre fényt, ragyogást sugárzott s rendkívüli teljesítményt tudott kicsiholni belőlük” – foglalta össze hatását Vaszary tanársegéde, Pécsi Pilch Dezső.

Felfedezett nőfestő

Mesterének hatása letagadhatatlan a közelmúltban felfedezett nőfestő, Móricz Margit most vizsgált képén. Az 1920-as évek eleji Vaszaryt idéző, pasztózus ecsettel megfogalmazott formák síkszerűen dekoratívak: a teret vastag, jelzésszerűen feldobott fekete kontúrok érzékeltetik, miközben az egyes formák (a hátteret képző függöny zöldje, a drapéria kékje, a kerevet lilája és a belógó bútor narancssárga tömbje) mind külön vizuális izgalmat ígérnek. Ebben a jól kiegyensúlyozott foltrendszerben találja meg helyét a női akt. Móricz ekkor egy hosszú életpálya reményteli, első korszakát élte. Vaszary János és Benkhard Ágoston tanítványaként járt a modern szemléletű Főiskolára az 1920-as években. 1926-ban elnyerte a Szinyei Társaság díját az ifjúsági kiállításon. Ezután külföldi tanulóévek következtek: három év Párizsban, három év Algériában. Pályakezdését és korai műveit meghatározta az érett korszakában lévő Vaszary tiszta színpalettája, elegáns formaképzése és könnyed ecsetkezelése. A most előkerült, 1926-os Móricz Margit-kép a Vaszary-féle aktstúdiumokból kinőtt érett, zamatosan festői kompozíció.
