Festő. Eredetileg tanítóképzőt végzett, majd 1924-ben Nagybányára ment, ahol Thorma Jánostól tanult festeni. Mestere, aki egyben távoli rokona is volt, 1929-ben feleségül vette. Folyamatosan dolgozott a művésztelepen, és több csoportos kiállításon is részt vett. A háború után egyre kevesebbet dolgozott, de élete végéig a nagybányai műteremben lakott. Művei több erdélyi és hazai köz- és magángyűjteményben megtalálhatók.
