Festő, mozaikművész. Tanulmányait a budapesti Képzőművészeti Főiskolán végezte 1951-ban. Mesterei Fónyi Géza és Berény Róbert voltak. Tanulmányúton Franciaországban, Angliában, Olaszországban járt. 1950 óta kiállító művész. A szentendrei régi művésztelep tagja 1985 óta. Hegyi Györggyel együtt több fali mozaikot készített. Egyéni kiállításon mutatkozott be a Műcsarnokban 1967-ben, Párizsban 1969-ben, Brüsszelben 1970-ben, Londonban 1973-ban. Csoportos tárlaton Berlinben 1951-ben, az Ernst Múzeumban 1958-ban, a Műcsarnokban 1963-ban, 1971-ben, 1978-ban, Londonban 1965-ben, Tokióban, a Vigadó Galériában 1993-ban. Mozaikjai számos közintézményben megtalálhatók.
