Festő. A budapesti Képzőművészeti Főiskolán tanult. Mestere: Glatz Oszkár. 1933-ban elnyertea Nemes Marcell utazási ösztöndíjat. 1975-ben Mohács díszpolgárává választották,1979-ben Janus Pannonius-díjat kapott. Itáliában és Franciaországban járt tanulmányúton.1931-től Mohácson élt. Az 1930-as évektől szerepelt Baranya megyei és országos kiállításokon.1947-ben az Ernst Múzeumban, 1969-ben a Magyar Nemzeti Galériában, 1974-ben Pécsett mutatták be csoportos tárlaton alkotásait. Egyéni tárlata volt a pécsi Janus Pannonius Múzeumban (1958, 1969, 1978, 1989), Mohácson (1969, 1976), Pakson (1993). Nagy méretű murális alkotásai találhatók több mohácsi középületben és a pécsi szülészeti klinika aulájában. Mohács címmel grafikai mappát adott ki. Művei találhatóka Magyar Nemzeti Galériában és a jelentősebb vidéki kortárs gyűjteményekben.
