Share id. Imre, István 's profie

Festő, grafikus. 1935-ben Krizsán János és Mikola András tanítványa
volt a nagybányai szabadiskolában. 1936-41 között a budapesti
Képzőművészeti Főiskolán folytatta képzését, mesterei:
Réti István, Elekfy Jenő és Szőnyi István. 1940-től kiállító művész.
1947-57 között vezette a Honvéd Képzőművészeti Stúdiót. 1950-ben Munkácsy-díjjal,
1953-ban Kossuth-díjjal tüntették ki. Itáliában, Dalmáciában és Görögországban járt
tanulmányúton. Történelmi képei után inkább az akvarellnél és a rézkarcnál állapodott
meg. Portrék, tájképek, figurális kompozíciók kerültek ki kezei közül.
