Fischer Ödön
In 1899, he was appointed professor at the Hungarian State College of Applied Arts in Budapest. He later obtained a degree in art education. He actively participated in the work on the Hungarian pavilion at the 1900 World's Fair in Paris. He received numerous awards: in 1902, he was awarded a large gold medal at the exhibition of the Society of Applied Arts, in 1902 in Turin and in 1904 at the international exhibitions in St. Louis, and in 1906 at the World's Fair in Milan, he was awarded the grand prix. He organized and led the embroidery and weaving course in Máramarossziget. His furniture designs were influenced by Parisian Art Nouveau, and his decorative motifs made him a significant representative of the folk art movement of Hungarian Art Nouveau.
