Provenance: The picture get to Félix Merse Szinyei from the bequest of the artist, and later to the property of the Szinyei family, and later to the property of Mme dr. László András Papp.on the reverse: Felix subscription, number 50, an auction label of the BÁV No. 29. and the vignette of the Hungarian National Gallery, stamps with subscription: Köz- és magánygyűjteményekből elhurcolt művészeti alkotások ügyeinek miniszteri biztosa (Ministerial Commissioner of the Case of the Deported Fine-Art Works), and the autograph subscription of the Ministerial Commissioner, dr. Sándor Jeszenszky: Igazolom, hogy a túloldali kép Szinyei Merse Pál: Szerelmespár II. című festménye, mely 1948. évben az Országos Magyar Szépművészeti Múzeumban általam rendezett kiállításon, a katalógusban 77. szám alatt volt kiállítáva, mint Szinyei Merse család tulajdona. Budapest, 1949. április 2-án. Dr. Jeszenszky Sándor ny.miniszteri osztályfőnök a Szinyei társaság társelnöke
