Bosznay, István 1868 - 1944

Festő. A budapesti Rajztanárképzőben végezte tanulmányait Székely Bertalan és Greguss János korrektúráján. Tanulmányúton járt Németországban, Olaszországban, Angliában és Hollandiában. 1913-ban Kis Aranyérmet kapott Münchenben, 1915-ben állami kis aranyérmet, 1920-ban Wolfner-díjat, 1922-ben Horváth Nándor Balaton-díját nyerte el. 1923-ban állami nagy aranyéremmel tüntették ki. 1910-től Debrecenben működött rajztanárként, majd a budapesti Képzőművészeti Főiskola tanáraként dolgozott. 1893-tól szerepelt műveivel kiállításokon. A legjelentősebb tárlatokat 1908-ban és 1918-ban a Nemzeti Szalonban, 1924-ben a Műcsarnokban, 1934-ben Velencében rendezte. Művei megtalálhatóak a Magyar Nemzeti Galériában.
